Prayer for Israel

PRAYER OF THE DAY

For God’s Glory in Israel

Scripture Focus:
“The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.” (Isaiah 40:5)

Devotional Reading:
In every corner of the earth, there is a deep longing for the revealing of God’s glory—a longing for His presence to be known, honored, and worshiped. Israel, His chosen people, has been the cradle of God’s revelation to the world. It was from Israel that the Savior, Jesus Christ, came into the world, bringing light and salvation to all nations. Yet, even in the midst of its struggles, the Lord promises that His glory will once again be revealed in Israel for all to see.

Isaiah 40:5 reminds us of this glorious truth: “The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.” The revealing of God’s glory is not just for Israel—it is for the entire world. The people of Israel, though they may face challenges and suffering, are not forgotten by God. He is still present with them, and His glory will shine through them to the nations.

In praying for God’s glory to fill Israel, we are asking for His presence to be made manifest in powerful ways. We are asking for His holiness, majesty, and righteousness to be evident to the world through Israel’s people. We pray for the day when the nations will recognize the splendor of God’s holiness as they look to Israel and see His glory revealed in every aspect of life—through her leaders, through her people, through the land itself.

God’s glory has already been revealed in Israel in profound ways, from the miracles He performed in their history to the establishment of the modern nation after centuries of exile. Yet, we are longing for a fuller revelation—a time when the whole world will recognize God’s greatness and Israel will shine as a beacon of His truth and salvation.

As believers, we are also part of this vision. Through the Church, God’s glory is also being revealed, as we carry the message of Christ to the nations. Our prayers for Israel are not just about Israel’s restoration but about the entire world coming to know the glory of the Lord, as His kingdom is established on earth.

Let us pray that Israel will be a light to the nations and that through her, all the nations will come to know the Lord. May His glory shine brightly through His people, and may the world be drawn to Him as they see His majesty on full display.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the privilege of being able to pray for Israel, Your chosen people. We long for the day when Your glory will fill the land of Israel in a powerful and undeniable way. As You promised through the prophet Isaiah, we believe that “the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together.”

Lord, we ask that You reveal Your glory in Israel. May it shine brightly in the hearts of the people, in the leadership of the nation, and in every part of the land. Let Israel be a beacon of Your truth, righteousness, and holiness, drawing all nations to You.

We pray that through Israel’s restoration, the nations will see Your mighty hand at work, bringing glory to Your name. May Israel’s testimony of Your faithfulness and power be a witness to the world, and may many come to know You as Savior and Lord.

We also pray for the Church to continue to reflect Your glory as we partner in the work You are doing in Israel and the world. May we, too, be faithful in sharing Your truth and extending Your love to all people, drawing them closer to You.

Lord, let Your glory be revealed in Israel and in all the earth. May every heart be open to receive Your presence and Your truth, so that all flesh shall see Your greatness and bow before You in worship.

In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Reflection Question:
How does the glory of the Lord being revealed in Israel inspire us to live as witnesses of His greatness in our daily lives? How can we help others recognize God’s glory through Israel and the Church?
