Prayer for Israel

Another October 7th Averted: Praise God for His Protection and Time for Israel to Say Enough

A massive Hamas terror attack was miraculously thwarted in Israel last night. Explosive devices were planted on multiple buses in Bat Yam and Holon, south of Tel Aviv, in what was meant to be a coordinated mass-casualty attack during peak morning hours. By God’s divine intervention, the bombs detonated early, sparing hundreds—if not thousands—of innocent Israeli lives.

Authorities have confirmed that at least 15 buses were rigged with explosives, and five suicide bombers had planned to strike the light rail. The devices, planted by Hamas terrorists operating out of the West Bank city of Tulkarm, were discovered only after the premature explosions revealed the plot. Security forces are now in an extensive manhunt to locate the perpetrators, while the Shin Bet and the IDF are ramping up counterterrorism operations.

This failed attack comes just hours after Hamas returned the bodies of the brutally murdered Israeli Bibas babies and other elderly hostages in coffins—hostages brutally executed in captivity. Israel, already in mourning, was once again reminded of Hamas’s bloodthirsty nature. The same terrorists who massacred over 1,200 Israelis on October 7th, who raped, tortured, and kidnapped civilians, are now attempting another wave of terror under the guise of a ceasefire. This is not the action of a legitimate political entity; this is the work of pure evil.

A Time to Praise God

As we reflect on what could have been an unimaginable tragedy, we must acknowledge God’s hand in protecting His people. The Psalms remind us: “The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, and delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7) The fact that these bombs exploded prematurely, rather than at their intended targets, is nothing short of a miracle. We must give thanks to the Almighty, who watches over Israel, neither slumbering nor sleeping (Psalm 121:4).

Believers around the world have been praying for Israel’s protection, and God has answered mightily. Let this be a moment of both gratitude and renewed commitment to intercede for the peace and security of Jerusalem and all of Israel.

Enough Is Enough—Hamas Must Be Eradicated

The question before Israel and the world is simple: how much longer will this be tolerated? How many more ceasefires will Hamas break? How many more civilians must die before the world acknowledges that Hamas cannot be negotiated with—it must be eliminated? The terrorists who plotted to slaughter hundreds of innocent people today are the same ones who orchestrated October 7th. They are the same ones who use human shields, fire rockets at civilians, and celebrate the murder of infants. This is not a political issue; this is a moral imperative.

Prime Minister Netanyahu has vowed to dismantle Hamas, but the world continues to push for restraint. Restraint for what? So that Hamas can rearm and try again? So that more Israeli children grow up in fear? This attack is the final proof—Hamas is beyond redemption. If Israel does not act decisively now, there will only be more October 7ths in the future.

The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:8, there is “a time for war, and a time for peace.” This is the time for war. Not a war for land or politics, but a war against evil itself. If the world will not stand with Israel, Israel must stand alone. But as history has shown, when Israel stands, God stands with her.

Let us pray fervently for the Israeli soldiers and security forces now engaged in counterterrorism operations. May they be swift, decisive, and victorious. And let us pray that God’s justice is carried out—that the wicked do not go unpunished.

Israel must act now. No more half-measures. No more delays. No more ceasefires that allow Hamas to regroup. Enough is enough.

May the Lord protect His people and give strength to those fighting for righteousness.
