Since the horrific Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, the world has witnessed the unwavering resilience of Israel and her allies. Germany has quietly expedited citizenship for Israeli hostages and their families, those eligible through Holocaust-era ancestry.
This is Spearheaded by the German Embassy in Tel Aviv and led visibly by Ambassador Steffen Seibert. For approximately 30 hostages with ties to Germany, and especially for the seven still held in Gaza.
Germany’s reforms to simplify citizenship for descendants of Holocaust victims are now proving vital in a time of crisis.
In parallel, Germany’s largest newspaper, Bild, has exposed the murky underbelly of the media war—calling out fake news and manipulated narratives emanating from Gaza. According to their reports, many so-called journalists in Gaza are either sympathetic to or directly linked with Hamas, peddling lies designed to vilify Israel and garner misguided global outrage. Their agenda-driven reporting fuels the flames of antisemitism and distracts from the true suffering caused by Hamas’ reign of terror—not just against Israelis, but against the very ‘Palestinians’ they claim to represent.
As Christians, we cannot remain silent in the face of this spiritual and physical warfare. The Bible is clear:
“I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.” — Isaiah 45:3
God’s covenant with Israel is eternal. His promises do not falter with time, nor do they yield to political manipulation. He is the defender of truth, the protector of His people, and the righteous judge of all the earth.
Let us stand in prayer and intercession:
- For the release and healing of all hostages
- For the lies about this war to be exposed, and the truth to be brought into the light
- Praising the Lord for Nations willing to stand with Israel
May the God of Israel continue to raise up leaders, both in governments and media, who walk in truth and righteousness. And may we, as believers, never grow weary in doing good.
The God of Israel will not be mocked. He will uphold His covenant, expose deception, and bring justice in His perfect time.
