What a life-changer it is to receive the power of God to know, experience and abide in His abundant love. So often, we settle for just a drop of His love, when it is more vast than all the seas in the world. We strive to please Him, yet grasp so little of His immense grace and redemptive power. His love is not earned. His love is not conditional or limited. His love is beyond anything we can imagine.
- You can ask for every good thing you have ever experienced – God can do more than that.
- You can imagine things beyond your experience – God can do more than that.
- You can imagine good things beyond your ability to name – God can do more than that.
(Guzik)
“Exceedingly abundantly” – “He has constructed here in the Greek an expression which is altogether his own. No language was powerful enough for the apostle—I mean for the Holy Ghost speaking through the apostle—for very often Paul must coin words and phrases to shadow forth his meaning. And here is one: ‘He is able to do exceeding abundantly’—so abundantly that it exceeds measure and description.” (Spurgeon)
Prayer for Israel
God has shown His love and performed miracles throughout our war with Iran. We thank God for ending the bombing and for sparing many lives. We pray that people will turn to Him for comfort and open their hearts to His abundant love.
We pray for all who lost homes and loved ones. Over 11,000 people were evacuated to hotels and another 5,000 moved in with family members. Some have returned home, others need to repair shattered windows and cracked walls, and some must find new homes to rent.
May God comfort each one, and go before them to make smooth the paths.
“Comfort ye, comfort ye my people, saith your God. Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins. The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
(Isaiah 40:1–3)
